The best way to approach a first collection letter

October 12, 2022by Mark Ball

When considering sending a first collection letter, it’s important to have both the right details and tone. The letter should include a total for what is owed, when payment was due, the new due date and details on how to pay off the debt.

It’s also crucial that you include language which lets the debtor know they can reach you directly if there’s been an error. All of these elements can lead to a faster resolution.
