New bank regulations affect debtors

Several new banking regulations have taken effect in Canada this summer, the chief ones being more consumer-related and make their overall debt more manageable. The Canadian Press news site reports that new rules include alerts on when account balances go below $100, as well as a 56-day, not 90-day limit on when banks can now solve complaints from customers.
