One of the most effective and empathetic ways you can collect on a debt from a customer is to simply speak with them more often. Whether they’re on a payment plan with you or not, it’s best to contact them first and find out what is going on with them in their lives. It’s also good to check and see if they’ve been receiving notifications or if something’s fallen through the cracks.
