Debt recovery may take longer for some Canadians

We learned some sobering news about Canada’s pandemic response. CTV reports that, according to the federal Industry Strategy Council, youth, women and the indigenous were affected greater by the health crisis. Youth unemployment hit a record 30 percent during the start of the pandemic, slower to recover than with other groups. All the more reason to continue to treat customers with empathy and compassion as they try to resolve debts and return to a sense of financial normalcy.
